Liverpool City Council commission their first TANA Shark 440DT shredder in November this year to be used primarily as a mattress shredder.
Each year 1.8 million mattresses are disposed of in Australia with 40% ending up in landfill.
The councils mattress shredding program aims to recycle the steel and flock giving these mattresses a second life creating new products while at the same time diverting them from landfill.
With the councils second Shark to be delivered in early 2024 we look forward to seeing the TANA Shark make a positive impact for our environment.
